AI can accelerate course production, but it cannot decide what your learners truly need. The trainer remains responsible for accuracy, pedagogy, accessibility, and the learning promise.

    1. Define the transformation

Describe the audience, entry level, real-world outcome, constraints, and evidence of success. Ask AI to surface missing assumptions and likely misconceptions. Interview real learners before finalizing the promise.

    2. Design backward

Create a final project or performance task, then define the skills needed to complete it. Ask AI for a draft module sequence and challenge every dependency. Each module needs an objective, concise instruction, worked example, practice, feedback, and checkpoint.

    3. Produce with controls

Use AI for first-draft outlines, scenarios, script variants, quiz ideas, summaries, and accessibility descriptions. Keep a source log. Fact-check claims, obtain rights for media, protect personal data, and rewrite generic material in your teaching voice.

    4. Pilot and improve

Test with a small learner group. Measure completion, question quality, assessment performance, and where learners pause or leave. Improve the weakest learning moment before adding more content.
